Which WordPress themes make over $10K/month now?

Last updated: 14 September 2026

SUMMARY

Which WordPress themes make over $10K/month now? Avada, WoodMart, Flatsome, Betheme, Uncode and Salient clearly clear the line on ThemeForest, while Divi, Astra and GeneratePress are very likely above it through direct sales.

Avada and WoodMart are not close calls. Their estimated author revenue from ordinary ThemeForest sales is roughly $62,700 and $34,200 a month respectively, leaving a wide cushion above the threshold.

The cutoff gets much more fragile after those two. Flatsome still has a decent margin, but Betheme, Uncode and Salient sit only around $850 to $1,200 above $10,000 in the latest complete month.

Customer spend badly overstates what a ThemeForest author keeps. A $69 WordPress theme leaves about $28.50 for the author under Envato's current fee structure, so a theme needs roughly 351 regular monthly sales just to reach $10,000 before taxes.

Recent sales velocity is much more useful than lifetime sales. WoodMart has a far smaller historical sales total than The7, yet its current monthly volume is more than four times higher.

WooCommerce is unusually strong at the top of the market. WoodMart and Flatsome occupy two of the top three current positions, suggesting commercial store-building use cases remain one of the best places for paid themes to defend pricing.

The direct-sale market is probably larger than the auditable ThemeForest list, but it is much harder to measure. Divi, Astra and GeneratePress have enough customer or installation scale that a sub-$10K commercial business would be hard to reconcile with their public footprint.

Free installations still cannot be converted directly into revenue. They are useful mainly as a scale check: GeneratePress needs only a little over 2,000 full-price annual premium payments across a year to average $10,000 a month.

The marketplace is also highly concentrated. Once sales fall below the six leaders, well-known themes such as Enfold, The7, Newspaper, Impreza and Bridge still move meaningful volume but no longer reach $10,000 in estimated monthly author receipts from ordinary ThemeForest sales.

The practical picture is a small $10K-plus club, not a huge field of themes quietly printing money. Avada and WoodMart are the clear leaders, Flatsome is solidly above the line, and Betheme, Uncode and Salient are the names most worth rechecking as monthly sales move.

Why is it so hard to tell which WordPress themes make $10K a month?

WordPress theme revenue is surprisingly hard to verify because the numbers people usually quote—active installations, lifetime sales and company revenue—do not tell us how much one theme is making today.

ThemeForest gives us the cleanest data. Its latest complete monthly ranking shows recent unit sales for individual products, and its current weekly bestseller page lets us check whether those sales are still holding up. That gives us something much better than lifetime totals.

Direct-sale themes are trickier. Divi, Astra, GeneratePress, Kadence and Blocksy sell outside ThemeForest, and their companies generally do not publish theme-level monthly revenue. Some also bundle the theme with plugins, AI products, templates or other subscriptions. We can still identify likely $10K businesses, but the confidence level has to be different.

There is one more wrinkle. A $69 ThemeForest sale does not mean the developer earns $69. Envato's current rules include a $12 buyer fee for WordPress themes and a 50% author fee on the remaining item price. Once we account for that, the $10K club gets much smaller.

Which WordPress themes definitely make over $10K a month now?

Six ThemeForest WordPress themes currently clear $10,000 a month with enough public data for us to say it confidently: Avada, WoodMart, Flatsome, Betheme, Uncode and Salient.

ThemeForest's latest complete monthly ranking gives us both sales volumes and prices. We then apply Envato's current WordPress buyer fee and 50% author fee. The estimate excludes taxes, refunds, extended licenses and paid support renewals, so it is deliberately conservative and standardized.

The current weekly ranking backs up the result. Avada recently sold 527 copies in one week, WoodMart 250, Flatsome 135, Uncode 118, Salient 105 and Betheme 87. All six remain around or above the weekly pace needed to support more than $10,000 a month under today's fee structure.

Theme Latest complete monthly sales Customer spend Approx. author revenue
Avada 2,200 $151,800 $62,700
WoodMart 1,200 $82,800 $34,200
Flatsome 591 $34,869 $13,889
Betheme 393 $27,117 $11,201
Uncode 472 $27,848 $11,092
Salient 452 $27,120 $10,848

Is Avada still making serious money today?

Avada is still the clearest $10K-a-month WordPress theme we can verify, with estimated monthly author revenue above $60,000 from ordinary ThemeForest sales alone.

Its latest complete month brought roughly 2,200 purchases at $69, equal to about $151,800 spent by customers. Under Envato's current fee structure, our standardized estimate leaves ThemeFusion with roughly $62,700 before taxes and other adjustments.

The fresher weekly data looks just as healthy. ThemeForest currently shows 527 Avada sales in a week. A straight four-week comparison would already put it above 2,100 sales, very close to the previous monthly figure.

Avada's 1.07 million lifetime sales could easily tempt us to confuse past success with present demand. The current numbers remove that problem: buyers are still showing up at a rate of several hundred every week.

Avada could lose most of that volume and remain above $10,000 a month. At its $69 price, roughly 351 ordinary monthly purchases are enough under the current fee structure. Avada is doing around six times that in the latest complete month.

Is WoodMart actually catching Avada?

WoodMart is clearly the strongest current challenger to Avada, although Avada still sells roughly twice as many copies.

WoodMart recorded about 1,200 sales in ThemeForest's latest complete monthly ranking at $69 each. We estimate that at around $34,200 in author revenue. Its recent weekly count of 250 sales also puts it on a pace of roughly 1,000-plus monthly purchases if demand stays similar.

The interesting part is how quickly WoodMart has climbed relative to its age and lifetime total. It has around 119,000 cumulative ThemeForest sales, while Avada has more than one million and Flatsome roughly 270,000. Yet today's sales ranking puts WoodMart comfortably in second place.

WoodMart is a good example of why lifetime bestseller lists can mislead. Its historical footprint is much smaller than several older themes, while its current commercial activity is much stronger.

Are Flatsome, Betheme, Uncode and Salient safely over $10K a month?

Flatsome is comfortably above $10K for now, while Betheme, Uncode and Salient are much closer to the cutoff and could move below it after a weak month.

Flatsome sold 591 copies in the latest complete month at $59. That works out to roughly $13,900 for the author using the current Envato formula. Its recent weekly sales count is 135, which remains consistent with roughly the same monthly range.

Betheme sits lower at an estimated $11,200. Uncode comes in around $11,100, while Salient is around $10,850. Their margins over the threshold are therefore only about $1,200, $1,100 and $850 respectively.

Current weekly sales still support their inclusion. Betheme recently sold 87 copies, Uncode 118 and Salient 105. At their respective prices, those figures remain around the pace needed to stay above $10K.

Flatsome looks like a fairly solid member of the group. Betheme, Uncode and Salient are in too, but their position can change quickly.

Which famous WordPress themes no longer clear $10K a month on ThemeForest?

Enfold, The7, Newspaper, Impreza and Bridge still sell meaningful volume today, but their ordinary ThemeForest sales currently fall short of $10,000 a month in estimated author revenue.

Enfold is the closest interesting case. Its 314 monthly sales at $59 generated roughly $18,500 in customer spending, yet the estimated amount reaching the author is only about $7,400 after the current marketplace fees.

The7 produced roughly $18,600 in checkout value from 270 sales at $69, translating to around $7,700 for the author. Newspaper lands around $6,700, Impreza around $7,000 and Bridge around $6,800.

These are still successful themes. The public price and sales counter simply make it very easy to overestimate what the creator actually keeps.

Theme Monthly sales Customer spend Approx. author revenue
The7 270 $18,630 $7,695
Enfold 314 $18,526 $7,379
Impreza 244 $16,836 $6,954
Bridge 240 $16,560 $6,840
Newspaper 286 $16,874 $6,721

How many ThemeForest sales does a WordPress theme need to make $10K now?

A typical ThemeForest WordPress theme needs roughly 350 to 425 regular sales a month to put $10,000 into the author's account under Envato's current fees.

Envato currently charges a $12 fixed buyer fee on a regular WordPress theme license. It then takes a 50% author fee from the remaining item price.

For a $69 theme, $57 remains after the buyer fee and the author keeps roughly half, or $28.50. About 351 regular purchases therefore produce $10,000 before taxes.

At $59, the developer keeps roughly $23.50, so the threshold rises to about 426 sales. A $60 product earns around $24 per ordinary sale and needs roughly 417.

That calculation explains the sharp drop after Salient in today's ranking. Enfold's 314 monthly sales may look substantial, but a $59 theme needs roughly 112 more sales at that price to cross the line.

From the customer's side, a $59 ThemeForest theme needs roughly $25,000 in monthly checkout value before the author reaches $10,000.

Are WooCommerce themes taking over the high-revenue WordPress theme market?

WooCommerce themes are unusually strong among today's biggest sellers, with WoodMart and Flatsome occupying two of the top three spots on ThemeForest.

WoodMart alone generated around 1,200 monthly purchases, while Flatsome added 591. Combined, customers spent almost $118,000 on those two themes during the latest complete monthly period.

Their current weekly sales are still strong too: roughly 250 for WoodMart and 135 for Flatsome. No other explicitly WooCommerce-led products come close to WoodMart's current pace.

General-purpose products remain powerful, though. Avada is still number one overall, while Uncode, Salient and Betheme also clear our $10K threshold without being narrowly positioned as store themes.

The better reading is that paid WordPress themes are increasingly concentrated around commercial use cases where buyers can justify paying for better design and functionality. WooCommerce is one of the strongest of those use cases, which helps explain why WoodMart and Flatsome continue to sell at such unusual volumes.

Can lifetime sales tell us which WordPress themes make the most money today?

Lifetime WordPress theme sales are a weak guide to current revenue, and WoodMart versus The7 shows just how far the rankings can diverge.

The7 has accumulated well above 300,000 ThemeForest sales. WoodMart has only around 119,000. Yet the latest complete month shows roughly 1,200 WoodMart sales against only 270 for The7.

Betheme offers another good comparison. Its lifetime sales are also above 300,000, but current monthly volume is around 393. Avada remains exceptional because it leads both historically and today.

The gap becomes even clearer in the present weekly leaderboard. WoodMart recently sold 250 copies in one week while The7 sold 72 and Bridge 53. The old cumulative leaderboard tells us far more about who dominated WordPress themes over the past decade than who has the strongest business right now.

For a current revenue question, recent sales velocity deserves much more weight.

Which direct-sale WordPress themes probably make over $10K a month?

GeneratePress, Divi and Astra are highly likely to clear $10,000 a month commercially, while Kadence and Blocksy also look plausible; public data simply does not let us audit them with the same precision as ThemeForest products.

GeneratePress is one of the easier cases to frame. GP Premium currently costs $59 a year, renews annually and can be used on up to 500 sites. WordPress.org reports more than 500,000 active GeneratePress installations. GeneratePress would need only about 2,034 full-price GP Premium annual payments across an entire year to average $10,000 a month.

Two thousand paying accounts would represent well below 1% of its 500,000-plus free installation base. That does not prove current revenue because one license can cover many sites, old customers can have different pricing, and installations do not equal customers. Still, the commercial hurdle is tiny compared with GeneratePress's footprint.

Divi operates at another scale. Elegant Themes currently advertises roughly 975,000 Divi customers, an $89 annual Divi plan and a $249 lifetime option, alongside its much larger Pro ecosystem. Divi clearly belongs in a business generating far beyond $10,000 a month. What we cannot cleanly extract is how much of each month's cash belongs specifically to the theme rather than the builder, Divi Dash, AI, Cloud and other services.

Astra has more than one million active WordPress.org installations and sells Astra Pro alongside a large Brainstorm Force product ecosystem. Again, the commercial footprint makes a sub-$10K overall business extremely difficult to believe, while exact theme-only revenue remains private.

Kadence currently has more than 500,000 active installations, and Blocksy more than 300,000. Blocksy also sells annual Pro plans starting at $69, with higher tiers at $99 and $149. Both have enough distribution to make $10K a month plausible, but there is less evidence for us to call either one confirmed.

Theme Our current judgment Why
GeneratePress Very likely over $10K/month 500K+ installs, $59 annual premium product
Divi Almost certainly far over $10K/month ~975K customers, $89 annual and $249 lifetime offers
Astra Almost certainly over $10K/month 1M+ active installs and established Pro business
Kadence Probably over $10K/month 500K+ active installs, large commercial ecosystem
Blocksy Plausible to likely 300K+ active installs, $69–$149 annual plans

Are new WordPress themes breaking into the $10K-a-month club?

ThemeForest's $10K-a-month tier is still dominated by old, established WordPress themes, and the sales drop below the leaders is steep.

After Avada, WoodMart, Flatsome, Uncode, Salient and Betheme, the latest complete monthly ranking falls to Enfold at 314 sales. Farther down, Porto sold about 150 copies, Houzez 115, XStore 95, Soledad 89 and JNews 84.

A new $59 theme would currently need around 426 ordinary monthly sales to reach our $10K author-revenue threshold. Most products outside the top handful are nowhere near that.

The current weekly ranking tells a similar story. Avada, WoodMart and Flatsome remain at the top, followed largely by names WordPress users have known for years. Recent launches can still have excellent months, especially when discounted, but we are not seeing a broad wave of new themes regularly replacing the old leaders at the top.

These days, reaching $10K through a marketplace appears to require more than launching a visually good template. Reviews, years of search visibility, demo libraries, WooCommerce compatibility, update history and an existing customer base all compound over time.

So which WordPress themes actually make over $10K a month now?

The clearest answer today is Avada, WoodMart, Flatsome, Betheme, Uncode and Salient on ThemeForest, with GeneratePress, Divi and Astra very likely joining them among independently sold themes.

Avada sits in a different league from the cutoff, at roughly $62,700 in estimated monthly author revenue from ordinary ThemeForest sales. WoodMart follows at around $34,200. Flatsome is around $13,900.

Betheme, Uncode and Salient round out the confirmed marketplace group at roughly $10,800 to $11,200 each. Their current weekly sales still support those monthly estimates, so we are not relying on a stale ranking.

GeneratePress looks highly likely to clear $10K given its 500,000-plus active installations and $59 annual premium product. Divi and Astra operate at an even larger scale, although bundling makes a clean theme-only figure impossible from public data. Kadence and Blocksy probably deserve to be watched, but we do not have enough evidence to put them in the same confidence tier.

Enfold, The7, Newspaper, Impreza and Bridge are the useful counterexamples. Thousands of dollars still flow through those products every month, but after applying Envato's current fees they sit well below $10,000 in estimated author receipts.

The market looks like a small, defensible group of $10K-plus WordPress themes rather than dozens of them. Avada and WoodMart are well ahead. Flatsome has a decent cushion. Betheme, Uncode and Salient are the borderline members worth rechecking regularly. Among direct sellers, Divi, Astra and GeneratePress are the strongest candidates, even though private sales data prevents the same level of verification.

OUR METHODOLOGY

This analysis tests which WordPress themes are making more than $10,000 a month using current commercial activity rather than reputation, lifetime sales or company-wide revenue. The central split is between ThemeForest products, where recent unit sales are observable, and direct-sale themes, where monthly theme-level revenue is usually private.

For ThemeForest, we use the latest complete monthly sales ranking as the main revenue period and the current weekly bestseller ranking as a freshness check. Recent sales velocity gets much more weight than lifetime sales because the question is what a theme is earning now, not how successful it was over the past decade.

We estimate author revenue rather than customer checkout value. For regular WordPress licenses, we apply Envato's current $12 fixed buyer fee and 50% author fee to the remaining item price. We exclude taxes, refunds, extended licenses and paid support renewals so every ThemeForest theme is compared on the same base.

The $10,000 threshold is calculated separately at each price point. A $69 theme leaves roughly $28.50 for the author and therefore needs about 351 regular monthly sales; a $59 theme leaves roughly $23.50 and needs about 426.

Direct-sale themes require a different test because Divi, Astra, GeneratePress, Kadence and Blocksy do not expose comparable monthly sales counters. For those products, we combine official active-installation figures, current commercial pricing, disclosed customer scale, licensing terms and the breadth of the surrounding paid ecosystem. We do not convert free installations directly into revenue or pretend those cases have the same precision as ThemeForest.

We prioritized first-party and marketplace sources: ThemeForest for current sales and prices, Envato for fee rules, WordPress.org for active installations, and the theme companies themselves for pricing and customer claims. Affiliate estimates, theme-review sites and third-party revenue guesses were not used to decide whether a product crossed the threshold.

Key sources include ThemeForest's WordPress weekly bestseller ranking, ThemeForest's top-sellers page, Envato's fixed buyer-fee schedule, Envato's earnings methodology, Avada, WoodMart, Flatsome, Betheme, Uncode, Salient, GeneratePress on WordPress.org, GeneratePress pricing, Divi pricing and customer information, Astra on WordPress.org, Astra pricing, Kadence on WordPress.org, Blocksy on WordPress.org, and Blocksy pricing.

The result is a current market snapshot. Themes sitting close to the cutoff can move in or out of the group quickly, while themes supported by both monthly and weekly sales data can be judged with much more confidence.
