We Compared The Pricing of 113 AI Video Creation Tools: Here's What We Found
Last updated: May 25, 2026
AI video creation tools are one of the fastest-moving and most commercially crowded categories in software, with model labs, creator utilities, avatar platforms, localization products, and AI ad tools all fighting for the same budget. We pulled the public pricing pages of 113 AI Video Creation Tools ourselves, decomposed every tool into the same comparable pricing dimensions, and ran the aggregates to figure out what actually works in pricing in this category and what to copy if you're building in this space.
The dataset spans six workflow families: generative video models and creative production, short-form clipping and faceless automation, video creation and editing suites, localization and dubbing, avatar and personalized video, and AI ads and UGC creative. For each AI video creation tool, we recorded the same comparable dimensions: name, primary workflow, pricing model, cheapest monthly plan, most expensive monthly plan, free plan, free trial, credit card requirement, monthly billing option, annual discount, enterprise plan availability, free plan limitations, paid-plan unlocks, and upgrade triggers.
If you want to see what proven pricing patterns look like beyond AI Video Creation Tools, our database of 300 profitable internet businesses breaks down revenue, distribution, and packaging for each one.
Summary
This study analyzes the pricing of 113 AI Video Creation Tools captured from their public pricing pages. We included tools whose primary value proposition is to help users create, generate, edit, transform, animate, script, localize, caption, repurpose, or produce videos using AI, while excluding generic video products where AI-powered video creation is not central.
Entry pricing in AI Video Creation Tools is clustered around a low-friction creator price point. The median cheapest paid plan is $20 per month and 69% of tools start below $29, which means $29 is the practical upper edge of mainstream entry pricing.
The average cheapest paid monthly plan is $28.30 after excluding the $0 entry, which confirms that most AI video creation products are priced to attract individual creators and small teams before expanding usage later.
Top public pricing expands much more aggressively than entry pricing. The median most expensive monthly plan is $99, but the average top plan is $138.92 after excluding two extreme $2,999 to $3,000 outliers, which means the category uses low entry prices and visible premium headroom at the same time.
Nearly half the category pushes beyond the $99 ceiling. 46% of AI Video Creation Tools have a most expensive plan above $99, 30% go above $149, and 16% go above $199, which confirms that higher creator, team, and business tiers are structurally normal.
Freemium beats free trials in AI Video Creation Tools. 69% of tools offer a free plan while only 33% show a free trial or free-start mechanism, which means permanent limited access is the default acquisition motion.
Trials are short and often not time-based. Where a stated trial length exists, the median is 5 days and the average is about 11 days, while many “trials” are expressed as credits, free videos, or limited starts instead of calendar time.
Monthly billing is almost universal. Only 3% of AI Video Creation Tools lack a monthly option, which means forcing annual-only commitment would be an unusually high-friction move in this category.
Annual discounts are meaningful but not extreme. The average stated annual discount is 25% and the median is 20%, which means “two months free” is the buyer expectation even in a usage-heavy AI category.
Enterprise is a core part of the category structure. 65% of AI Video Creation Tools show an enterprise, custom, or request-based plan, which confirms that even creator-first tools need a path for teams, agencies, and larger businesses.
Usage volume is the dominant upgrade trigger. Credits, minutes, videos, exports, and generation volume appear in 87% of upgrade-trigger fields, which means the strongest pricing model is a subscription ladder wrapped around usage-like limits.
Workflow family changes the price anchor dramatically. Generative video models have a median entry price of $10, while AI ads and UGC tools average $77.50 at entry, which means pricing should follow the buyer's perceived ROI rather than the technical difficulty of video generation.

GET THE FULL DATABASE → $49Questions on pricing AI Video Creation Tools
These are the questions we kept circling back to while building the dataset. They are the ones that matter if you're trying to figure out what's actually working in AI Video Creation Tools pricing, and what to copy if you're shipping your own.
What should be the pricing model for AI Video Creation Tools?
The pricing model for AI Video Creation Tools should be a recurring subscription with usage-like limits, because 87% of upgrade triggers are tied to credits, minutes, videos, exports, or generation volume.
Pure subscription is not enough to explain how the category actually monetizes. Most AI Video Creation Tools sell predictable monthly access, then use credits, minutes, exports, generation speed, resolution, avatars, or API usage to create expansion pressure.
This hybrid structure fits the economics of the category. Generation cost, model access, queue priority, storage, and output quality all scale with usage, so customers understand why higher tiers buy more capacity.
Monthly billing should stay available by default. Only 3% of tools in the dataset lack a monthly option, which means annual-only pricing would feel unusually restrictive unless the product behaves more like a plugin, license, or managed service.
The annual discount should sit near the category norm. The median stated annual discount is 20% and the average is 25%, which makes a two-months-free anchor feel standard without looking desperate.
Enterprise should be present even if the product starts with creators. 65% of AI Video Creation Tools show enterprise, custom, or request-based pricing, which means teams, agencies, procurement buyers, and API users need a visible path beyond self-serve.
The cleanest structure is therefore a low-friction entry tier, one or two mid-tier capacity expansions, and an enterprise path for custom limits. The category rewards pricing pages that make usage scale obvious rather than hiding the reason to upgrade behind vague feature bundles.
What price should be charged for AI Video Creation Tools?
The price charged for AI Video Creation Tools should usually sit around $20 at entry and $99 at the top visible self-serve tier, because those are the category medians across the 113-tool dataset.
The entry market is much tighter than the top-plan market. The average cheapest paid monthly plan is $28.30, but the median is $20, which means a few premium products pull the mean upward while most tools cluster in the creator-accessible range.
The visible top of the ladder is broader. The average most expensive monthly plan is $138.92 after excluding the two extreme $2,999 to $3,000 outliers, while the median most expensive plan is $99.
That $99 median matters because it behaves like the natural ceiling of the normal self-serve ladder. A top plan above $99 is not strange, but it should clearly communicate scale, team use, better output quality, API access, or business value.
The workflow family changes the right answer. Generative video models average $12.45 at entry with a $10 median, while video creation and editing suites average $23.58 and avatar tools average $37.96.
AI ads and UGC creative tools sit in a different pricing universe. Their average entry price is $77.50 and their median is $36, which reflects a buyer who evaluates the tool against ad performance and creative production costs rather than creator experimentation.
Localization and dubbing tools look moderate at entry but expand sharply at the top. Their average entry plan is $27.08, but their average top plan reaches $217.50, which shows how strongly minutes, API usage, and team workflows drive expansion.
Are people willing to pay a lot for AI Video Creation Tools?
Yes, people are willing to pay a lot for AI Video Creation Tools, because 46% of tools publish a top plan above $99 and 16% publish a top plan above $199.
The category should not be read as cheap just because entry plans are accessible. AI Video Creation Tools use low first tiers to reduce activation friction, then monetize volume, quality, team workflow, and business usage later.
The median most expensive monthly plan is $99, which makes that price the visible self-serve center of gravity. But nearly half the dataset goes above it, so $99 is often a bridge tier rather than the endpoint.
Plans above $149 are also common. 30% of AI Video Creation Tools publish a most expensive plan above $149, which normalizes premium creator, agency, and team pricing.
The strongest willingness to pay appears where outputs connect directly to revenue or operational scale. AI ads and UGC creative tools average $177.63 at the top, while localization and dubbing tools average $217.50 at the top.
Some very high public prices exist, but they should be interpreted carefully. The two $2,999 to $3,000 top-plan outliers were excluded from average top-plan calculations because they behave more like enterprise or managed-service pricing than normal self-serve tiers.
Published top tiers still understate the real ceiling. Since 65% of AI Video Creation Tools have an enterprise or custom path, the visible pricing page is often only the start of the larger-account monetization ladder.
If you want to find business models where buyers happily pay premium monthly prices, our database of 300 profitable internet businesses breaks down which categories command higher pricing and why.
Should AI Video Creation Tools launch with freemium, free trial or both?
AI Video Creation Tools should usually launch with freemium before a traditional free trial, because 69% of tools offer a free plan while only 33% show a trial or free-start mechanism.
Freemium is the dominant acquisition model in the category. This makes sense because buyers want to see output quality, test prompts, inspect watermarks, and feel generation speed before paying.
Free plans also create a natural watermark and credit-based conversion path. In the dataset, 56% of free plan limitations mention usage, credits, or minutes, while 41% mention watermark restrictions.
Trials are less common and often structurally different from classic SaaS trials. Many AI Video Creation Tools frame free access as credits, free videos, trial generations, or limited starts rather than a simple seven-day or fourteen-day period.
When a trial length is stated, it is usually short. The median stated free-trial length is 5 days and the average is about 11 days, with the overall stated range running from 2 to 30 days.
Credit card friction is uncommon. Only about 10% of known trials require a card or paid start, which means requiring payment details upfront should be reserved for products with unusually high generation cost or a very qualified buyer.
The best default is a limited free plan plus a clear paid upgrade. For AI Video Creation Tools, the free plan should demonstrate output quality while leaving enough friction around credits, watermark, resolution, or commercial rights to create conversion pressure.

STEAL WHAT WORKS → $49What should be the price of the first paid plan of AI Video Creation Tools?
The first paid plan of AI Video Creation Tools should usually sit near $20 per month, with $29, $49, and $99 acting as the key psychological thresholds.
The median cheapest paid plan is exactly $20, which makes it the category's psychological center of gravity. A first paid plan around this level feels normal for individual creators, freelancers, and small teams.
The $29 threshold is the upper edge of mainstream entry pricing. 69% of AI Video Creation Tools start below $29, so moving above that line should come with a clear explanation of output volume, business value, or specialized workflow depth.
The $49 threshold separates accessible creator pricing from more serious professional positioning. 94% of tools start below $49, which means a first paid plan above $49 is a deliberate premium move rather than a normal category default.
The $99 threshold is almost never a standard entry point. Only 3% of AI Video Creation Tools cross $99 at entry, which means a product starting there needs a strong enterprise, advertising, personalization, or managed-production angle.
Workflow family should decide the final number. Generative video models have a $10 median entry, short-form and faceless tools have a $19 median, video creation suites sit around $22, and localization tools sit around $25.
Avatar and personalized video tools can support a higher entry anchor, with a $24.50 median and a $37.96 average. AI ads and UGC creative tools can go higher still, but only when the page frames the product around ROI rather than experimentation.
What should the cheapest paid plan of AI Video Creation Tools include?
The cheapest paid plan of AI Video Creation Tools should include more usable generation capacity and remove one painful constraint, because 63% of paid-plan unlocks are tied to more usage, credits, or minutes.
The cheapest paid plan should not feel like a decorative upgrade. It should make the core workflow genuinely usable by increasing credits, minutes, exports, video length, or monthly generation capacity.
Watermark removal is the clearest conversion lever after usage. It appears in 42% of paid-plan unlocks, almost exactly matching the 41% of free-plan limitations that use watermark as a constraint.
Premium models and assets are the next most common unlock. They appear in 27% of cheapest paid-plan unlocks, which means the first paid tier often expands quality or creative range without giving away the entire premium ladder.
Generative video models should prioritize credits, watermark removal, resolution, and queue priority. Their entry price is low, so the cheapest paid plan needs to sell a tangible jump from testing to repeat creation.
Short-form and faceless automation tools should prioritize exports, processing credits, speed, and publishing workflow. Buyers in this group care less about one perfect generation and more about consistent output volume.
Avatar, localization, and AI ads tools should unlock the assets that make the product commercially useful. That usually means avatars, voices, minutes, credits, brand assets, commercial use, or higher-quality exports, while preserving room for API, team, and scale tiers later.
What should trigger upgrades for AI Video Creation Tools?
The dominant upgrade trigger for AI Video Creation Tools should be usage volume, because credits, minutes, videos, exports, and generation capacity appear in 87% of upgrade-trigger fields.
Usage works because it is visible to the buyer and tied to cost for the vendor. Customers understand why more videos, more minutes, more credits, faster generation, and more exports belong in higher tiers.
Premium models, avatars, and creative assets are the second layer. They appear in 38% of upgrade-trigger fields, which makes them useful for separating casual creators from buyers who need better quality, brand fit, or identity-specific assets.
Team and collaboration features appear in 35% of upgrade triggers. This makes them strong mid-to-upper-tier levers for agencies, marketing teams, training teams, and multi-creator workflows.
API and enterprise controls appear in 26% of upgrade triggers. That makes API access one of the clearest signs that a buyer is moving from self-serve creation into operational integration.
Resolution and export quality also appear in 26% of upgrade triggers. 4K, HD, higher frame rates, longer output, and better export quality work especially well when the product's value is judged by shareable finished video.
The right trigger depends on the workflow. Rank-style precision does not matter here; generative models monetize credits and speed, localization tools monetize minutes and API, avatar tools monetize models and replicas, and AI ads tools monetize creative assets plus campaign volume.
Which features should stay for the most expensive plan of AI Video Creation Tools?
The most expensive plan of AI Video Creation Tools should reserve scale, team control, API access, premium assets, and enterprise support, because 65% of tools already show an enterprise or custom path.
The top plan should not merely be a larger version of the entry plan. It should package the features that matter when a customer is using AI video creation as an operating workflow rather than an occasional creative tool.
Usage volume still matters at the top. Since 87% of upgrade triggers include usage, credits, minutes, videos, or exports, the highest tier should include enough capacity to support repeated production rather than isolated experiments.
API access belongs high in the ladder. It appears in 26% of upgrade triggers and is especially important for avatar, localization, automation, and personalized video tools where customers want to embed video generation into other systems.
Team features should also stay above entry. Collaboration, seats, workspaces, admin controls, brand kits, and security features appear later because they map to agencies and businesses, not individual creators testing the tool.
Premium models, avatars, voices, replicas, and creative assets are defensible top-tier gates. These assets create visible quality differences and support higher willingness to pay in avatar, personalized video, localization, and AI ads workflows.
Dedicated support, custom limits, account management, and procurement-friendly enterprise language should sit on the custom path. In AI Video Creation Tools, enterprise is often less about one exclusive feature and more about volume, reliability, legal comfort, and workflow integration.
If you're trying to figure out how to package your own top tier, our database of 300 profitable businesses shows what companies choose to gate at premium pricing.
What should appear on the pricing page of AI Video Creation Tools to increase conversion?
The pricing page of AI Video Creation Tools should make free access, monthly billing, usage limits, watermark removal, annual savings, and enterprise availability obvious, because those are the strongest repeated signals in the dataset.
The first conversion job is to show how someone can try the product. 69% of AI Video Creation Tools have a free plan, so a pricing page without a visible free-start path feels higher friction than the market norm.
Usage limits should be impossible to miss. Credits, minutes, exports, videos, generation speed, resolution, and queue priority are the real economic units in this category, and hiding them makes plan comparison harder.
Watermark removal should be stated clearly when it applies. Watermark appears in 41% of free-plan limitations and 42% of paid-plan unlocks, which makes it one of the most direct conversion messages on the page.
The monthly option should be visible. Only 3% of tools lack a monthly option, so buyers expect to compare monthly and annual pricing without feeling forced into commitment.
The annual discount should be framed around the category norm. With a 20% median and 25% average stated discount, the page can confidently use annual savings as an anchor without making the offer look artificially promotional.
Enterprise or custom pricing should be present when the product can serve teams, API users, agencies, or high-volume creators. Since 65% of the category shows an enterprise path, leaving it off can make a serious AI video creation product look smaller than it is.

STEAL WHAT WORKS → $49What are other interesting things AI Video Creation Tools do regarding their pricing model?
Beyond the headline metrics, AI Video Creation Tools show a few quieter pricing patterns around discounts, outliers, commercial rights, and workflow-specific packaging.
AI Video Creation Tools have a much wider top-plan spread than entry-plan spread. Entry prices cluster around $10 to $29, while top plans range into several hundred dollars and occasionally into managed-service territory.
This is why medians matter more than averages in the category. The median top plan of $99 is a better benchmark for normal self-serve pricing than any mean pulled around by enterprise-like outliers.
Annual discounts are not evenly distributed across workflows. Video creation and editing suites discount most aggressively at an average of 34%, while AI ads and UGC creative tools discount least at 17%.
That difference says something about pricing confidence. Editing suites use annual discounts to reduce churn and compete in a crowded utility market, while AI ads tools can lean harder on ROI and business impact.
Commercial rights are a subtle but important paid-plan lever in AI Video Creation Tools. Generative and creative-production products often keep commercial use away from free or very low tiers, which turns legal usability into an upgrade reason.
Speed is also a real monetization axis. Queue priority, faster generation, relaxed mode, processing speed, and concurrency appear across multiple workflows because waiting becomes painful once users move from testing to production.
AI Video Creation Tools also underuse concurrency as a visible pricing lever. Where parallel tasks and faster queues matter, especially in generative video and automation products, concurrency can create a clean business-tier distinction without inventing artificial feature gates.

We collected data and analyzed the pricing of 113 AI Video Creation Tools, decomposed each one into comparable dimensions, and ran the aggregates to understand what actually works in this category. Here are the strongest patterns from the dataset:
- AI Video Creation Tools are structurally hybrid even when they look like normal subscription SaaS. The subscription creates predictability, but the real monetization happens through credits, minutes, videos, exports, resolution, speed, and capacity.
- The $20 monthly price point is the category's center of gravity in AI Video Creation Tools. The median cheapest paid plan is exactly $20, which makes it the safest default anchor for a new creator-facing product.
- The $29 threshold is more important than it looks in AI Video Creation Tools. Since 69% of tools start below $29, crossing that line changes the product from casual creator purchase to more considered professional spend.
- A first paid plan above $49 is a deliberate premium signal in AI Video Creation Tools. 94% of the dataset starts below $49, so pricing above that level needs a clear enterprise, ads, localization, or personalization justification.
- Generative video models are cheap to enter because they monetize repeat usage later. Their median entry price is $10, which lowers experimentation friction while preserving room for credits, speed, resolution, and priority upgrades.
- AI ads and UGC creative tools price around business impact rather than creation access. Their average entry price is $77.50, which reflects a buyer comparing the product to paid creative production and campaign ROI.
- Avatar and personalized video tools monetize identity assets better than generic generators. Their average entry price is roughly three times the generative video model average, because avatars, clones, replicas, and personalization are easier to frame as business infrastructure.
- Localization tools look moderate at entry but expand sharply at the top. In AI Video Creation Tools, dubbing minutes, voice cloning, glossaries, API usage, and team controls create much stronger top-tier pricing than the entry plan suggests.
- The visible $99 top-plan median is not a hard ceiling in AI Video Creation Tools. Nearly half the category publishes a top plan above $99, which means $99 often functions as the bridge into more serious production pricing.
- Freemium is the default acquisition mechanic in AI Video Creation Tools. Permanent limited access is more common than time-boxed trials because buyers need to judge output quality, watermark, speed, and prompt reliability before paying.
- Trials in AI Video Creation Tools are often credit-based rather than calendar-based. This matters because the buyer's real evaluation unit is not time, but whether the tool can produce enough usable output to justify a plan.
- Watermark removal is the cleanest freemium conversion lever in AI Video Creation Tools. It appears almost equally as a free-plan limitation and a paid-plan unlock, which makes it one of the rare constraints buyers instantly understand.
- Usage volume is the universal expansion engine in AI Video Creation Tools. Credits, minutes, videos, exports, and generation volume appear in 87% of upgrade triggers, far ahead of any single feature gate.
- Premium models and creative assets are best treated as quality ladders, not entry blockers. In AI Video Creation Tools, the cheapest plan should prove the core workflow while higher tiers improve output range, realism, identity fit, or creative control.
- Team features belong later in AI Video Creation Tools pricing. Collaboration, seats, workspaces, admin, brand controls, and security map to operational use, so they work better as mid-tier or business-tier expansion levers.
- API access is one of the strongest signals of advanced buyer intent in AI Video Creation Tools. It appears frequently in avatar, localization, and automation workflows because those buyers want video generation embedded into larger systems.
- Resolution is a secondary but consistent monetization lever in AI Video Creation Tools. 4K, HD exports, better quality, and longer outputs work best when the product is judged by finished, publishable video.
- Speed is a meaningful pricing axis in AI Video Creation Tools. Queue priority, faster processing, relaxed modes, and concurrency become valuable once users move from occasional experimentation to ongoing production.
- Commercial rights are an underrated upgrade lever in AI Video Creation Tools. Restricting free or low-tier outputs to personal use creates a clean conversion moment for creators and businesses that need publishable assets.
- Enterprise pricing in AI Video Creation Tools is more about scale and assurance than a single exclusive feature. The 65% enterprise availability rate shows that serious buyers need custom limits, reliability, support, legal comfort, and procurement paths.
- The strongest AI Video Creation Tools pricing pages make the value ladder visible. The buyer should immediately see how the product moves from free testing to usable creation, then to production scale, team workflow, and enterprise integration.
Methodology
We analyzed 113 AI video tools captured from their public pricing pages. Each tool was reduced to fourteen comparable pricing dimensions: name, primary workflow, pricing model, cheapest monthly plan price, most expensive monthly plan price, free plan availability, free trial availability, credit card requirement, monthly billing option, annual discount, enterprise plan pricing, free plan limitations, paid plan unlocks, and upgrade triggers. All percentages and aggregates throughout the analysis are computed across the same retained dataset, except where a value is unavailable, unclear, not applicable, or structurally incomparable.
We define AI Video Creation Tools as software whose primary value proposition is to help users create, generate, edit, transform, animate, script, localize, caption, repurpose, or produce videos using AI. This includes text-to-video, image-to-video, avatar video, product video, short-form video, AI editing, video generation, localization, dubbing, captioning, and automated video production workflows. We exclude generic video editors, screen recorders, design tools, stock media libraries, transcription tools, caption-only tools, animation tools, UGC marketplaces, social schedulers, and presentation tools unless AI-powered video creation is a central advertised feature. For ambiguous tools, we include them only if users would choose the product primarily to create or produce video with AI, not merely to record, host, caption, distribute, or lightly edit video.
The dataset is designed to represent the most visible, commercially meaningful, and comparable tools in the AI video software category. It is possible that some niche, newly launched, private-beta, regional, or fully sales-led products were missed, but the goal is to capture the pricing patterns buyers are most likely to encounter when evaluating AI Video Creation Tools with public or semi-public pricing.
Since most tools in this category use recurring subscriptions with tiered limits, we harmonized pricing into effective monthly values wherever possible. Where annual pricing was the default display, we converted it to an effective monthly price when the monthly equivalent was clear. Where pricing was hidden behind “contact sales,” “request a quote,” or custom enterprise language, we marked enterprise pricing as request-based rather than estimating a number. Where a pricing field was stated as “unclear,” “not stated,” “on request,” or “n/a,” the row was excluded only from calculations that required that specific value.
We also removed or harmonized obvious anomalies before calculating aggregate price metrics. For example, a $0 entry was excluded from cheapest paid-plan calculations because it reflects a free entry point rather than a paid plan. Very large top-plan outliers that behave more like enterprise or managed-service pricing were excluded from average top-plan calculations, while remaining part of structural metrics such as free plan availability, trial availability, monthly billing option, and enterprise availability. This keeps the analysis representative of normal self-serve pricing behavior while preserving the broader go-to-market signal of the dataset.
Denominators therefore vary by metric. Metrics about free plans, trials, monthly billing, and enterprise availability use the full retained dataset. Metrics about cheapest paid plans exclude entries that do not show a paid entry price. Metrics about annual discounts use only tools where a discount is stated or safely inferable. Metrics about trial length use only tools that state a concrete time period. This approach avoids false precision and makes each aggregate reflect only the tools that can be compared on that dimension.
